Andy Reid Reveals Chiefs WR Could ‘Possibly’ Miss Time With MCL Injury

Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid told media on September 20 about multiple new injuries from Week 2.

“Wide receiver Richie James, knee, he has an MCL [injury],” Reid said of the players who will not practice on Wednesday.

Isiah Pacheco will not practice due to a hamstring injury.

Kadarius Toney has a sprained toe, Nick Bolton and Willie Gay have ankles and quad contusions.

“Richie might be a little bit longer,” he said of the wide receiver/returner, explaining that James might “possibly” miss time.

Most Chiefs Kingdom fans were thrilled about James in Week 1. The shifty youngster caught 44 yards and a score in his first preseason game.

James had only one grab for six yards off three Patrick Mahomes II targets in Weeks 1 and 2 before this injury.

If the Chiefs need an impact return, they may use Moore or Toney. Both are energetic in free space, but injury or change may deter them.
