Buffalo Bills Trade Rumors Today - Bills Sign Chiefs Spy, Vikings Lock Up Cousins' Top Target, Kareem Hunt Buzz

Adam Schefter of ESPN says that the Buffalo Bills have signed quarterback Shane Buechele to their practice squad.

Buechele was on the Kansas City Chiefs' practice team for two years after not being picked in the draft out of SMU in 2021. On Tuesday, the Chiefs let him go.

Buechele will be the offensive practice squad leader for the Bills. The 25-year-old had a good training camp and preseason with the Chiefs, hitting 29 of 45 passes for 349 yards, three touchdowns, and three interceptions.

However, Andy Reid's team chose to go with Blaine Gabbert, who has more NFL experience than Buechele.

You shouldn't expect Buechele to play much with the Bills' 53-person group.

He is a break-in-case-of-emergency choice, well behind the star quarterback Josh Allen and his two backups, Kyle Allen and Matt Barkley.
