Chandler Jones blasts Raiders on social media, deletes posts

After being denied entry to the team gym, Las Vegas Raiders defensive end Chandler Jones criticized his team on social media Tuesday.

Jones sent screenshots of text exchanges to head coach Josh McDaniels and general manager Dave Ziegler on Instagram, which has since been removed.

Jones subsequently stated that the organization was trying to "provoke" him by keeping him from the facilities and that he didn't "wanna play for the Raiders if that's my HC or GM.

It was unclear why Jones couldn't use the gym. He worked out elsewhere.

Jones also claimed that the team contacted his child's mother despite their lack of interaction.

Free agency Jones inked a three-year, $51 million agreement with Las Vegas in March 2022.

In April, he adjusted his contract to reduce his base pay to $1.165 million this season by converting bonus money.

Jones, 33, made his Raiders debut last season with 38 tackles, 4.5 sacks, and three fumble recoveries in 15 starts.

He made his Las Vegas debut in Week 15 by grabbing a Patriots lateral in the final seconds and returning it 48 yards for a score to give the Raiders an unexpected 30-24 win.
