Eagles Urged to Sign 5-Time Pro Bowl Receiver Amid Injuries

According to Bleacher Report, the Eagles should go after former Saints wide receiver Jarvis Landry in free agency.

Rill argues that Philadelphia kept only four receivers on the roster, with two of them dealing with preseason injuries.

Watkins and Zaccheaus had minor injuries in the preseason. Philadelphia has only four WRs on its roster for now.

Rill suggests Landry, a five-time Pro Bowler and long-time starter, as a sensible option.

Rill suggests the Eagles should add an experienced pass-catcher. Jarvis Landry, a nine-year NFL veteran, is currently a free agent after playing for the New Orleans Saints in 2022.

Landry had three 1,000-yard seasons and led the league with 112 catches in 2017 with the Miami Dolphins.

Landry's performance has declined as he enters his age-31 season in 2023. In 2020, Landry had 72 catches, 840 receiving yards, and three touchdowns with the Cleveland Browns.

The numbers were solid for most starting receivers, but a decline from the previous season.

In 2022, Landry had a career-low season with only 25 receptions, 272 receiving yards, and one touchdown in nine games.

In 2022, Landry's targets with the Saints dropped to 14.5% (66th rank) and his target rate to 20.2% (56th rank). Landry expected to start the season but didn't.
