A former Dallas Cowboys starter joined a team that has plagued them the past two winters.
ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that cornerback Anthony Brown will join the 49ers' 53-man roster. Brown tore his Achilles in 2022.
Brown was picked by the Cowboys in the 2016 sixth round. He played with Dallas until 2022. He started 69 Dallas games.
With the Cowboys, Brown has 324 tackles, nine interceptions, and five forced fumbles.
Brown signed Tuesday as the 49ers cope with secondary injuries.
The 49ers placed Samuel Womack on injured reserve before Week 2.
