Jayson Tatum drops big hint about his future with Celtics

NBA veteran Jeff Goodman interviewed Celtics star Jayson Tatum this week. Tatum was questioned about playing his whole NBA career in Boston during the interview.

“You never know what can happen, but I love playing for the Celtics,” Tatum said. I found my place in the city and love it. Love the fans. This location is hard to leave.

“Just recently I started to feel the connection with Boston,” he said. My kid and I grew up here, and I've spent my adult life here.

My accomplishments are many. Boston has been so important to me, and it occurred so fast.

I relate more in the previous two years. First it seemed like I lived here, although I'm from St. Louis. St. Louis youngster.

I now live in Boston. I truly identify with Boston and its people.”

As a four-time All-Star and two-time All-NBA First Team pick, Tatum has become a Boston icon at 25.

The Celtics have reached four conference finals and one Finals under Tatum.

Tatum, who can become a free agency in two years if he declines his $37.1 million player option for 2025-26, may have been diplomatic.

But that was still a bigger allegiance declaration than other one-team superstars have shown recently.
