Kansas City Chiefs Reveal Concerning Update On Travis Kelce’s Injury

Several sources say that the star tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs, Travis Kelce, got hurt during Tuesday's practice.

The team's Tuesday afternoon report wasn't good news for Kelce.

The Chiefs were training on Tuesday before their first game of the season, which will be against the Detroit Lions on Thursday night.

Because the game was on Thursday night, the NFL team's practice on Tuesday was like a normal Friday practice for a Sunday game.

The Chiefs told NFL Network's Tom Pelissero that Kelce's fate for Thursday's game against the Lions is uncertain after he hyperextended his knee on Tuesday.

Kelce's absence would hurt the Chiefs' offense a lot this season when they don't have a great wide receiver.

The Chiefs were happy to hear that Kadarius Toney would be able to play against the Lions.

But Toney, Skyy Moore, and Marquez Reshard Valdes-Scantling wouldn't be as good without Kelce taking some of the Lions' attention away.
