Nick Bosa Signs Stunning Contract After Hold Out With San Francisco 49ers

The standoff between Nick Bosa and the San Francisco 49ers came to a dramatic and exciting conclusion on Wednesday afternoon.

This summer, Bosa was absent from 49ers training camp due to the fact that the top defensive end was holding out for a higher contract.

According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, the 49ers and Bosa have come to an agreement on a contract that will be worth $170 million over the course of five years.

Bosa is on track to become the pass rusher in the league with the highest salary after compiling 43 career sacks over the course of four seasons.

The defensive end, who was 25 years old at the time, was named the Defensive Player of the Year for 2022.

Bosa, who was selected with the second overall choice in the 2019 NFL Draft, has previously been in the Pro Bowl three times and been nominated for All-Pro once.

The 49ers were aware that in order to maintain him, they would have to make significant financial sacrifices, and they did so.
