Seven-time Pro Bowl receiver officially retires from NFL

Saturday ceremonially confirmed A.J. Green's NFL retirement, which he announced in February.

The Bengals gave their seven-time Pro Bowl wide receiver a one-day contract to retire in Cincinnati.

After two seasons with the Arizona Cardinals, he declared his retirement. His career will conclude as a Bengal.

With a veteran Cardinals club, Green, 34, played two seasons in Arizona.

He has 54 catches for 848 yards and helped the squad win 2021.

Despite a lackluster performance in 15 games last year, he received a one-year contract this summer.
